Shores Children's Center
Shores Children's Center is another example of our dedication to enriching the community. Home to Children's Creative Learning Centers (CCLC), and Associated Learning and Language Specialists (ALLS), the Center provides day care and specialty services to over 300 area families.

Since the early 1990's, the critical need for child care services in Redwood Shores was recongized. This need resulted in formation of the Shores Child Care Task Force. In response to their call for action, we worked with the City and community to create a unique partnership and make the Shores Children's Center a reality. In this joint effort:

• Keech Properties provided the necessary capital, designed the Center, funded construction and today owns and manages the overall property.
• The city of Redwood City leased the land to us and provided long-term mortgage financing.
• CCLC operates the day care center and provided invaluable expertise during all stages of design.

This partnership resulted in the area's largest, private children's center at no cost to taxpayers. The Center is a model in California, regularly visited by numerous public and private agencies. It was awarded "Child Care Center of the Year" by the Professional Association for Childhood Education (PACE.)
